BBB Accredited Survey Sites

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) reviews and accredits many types of business, including companies that do online paid surveys.

The Better Business Bureau is a nonprofit organization established in 1912. The purpose of the BBB is to promote marketplace trust.

The bureau provides free business reviews on more than 4 million companies and serves as a mediator between business and consumers by handling disputes brought up by consumers. The Better Business Bureau isn’t affiliated with any government organization. It is a privately run organization.

Businesses that join the BBB have to pay dues to the bureau and pledge to uphold the BBB code of business practice but in exchange they become BBB accredited.

Signing up with a BBB accredited survey company is one of the best ways to protect yourself and your identity online while doing surveys. Legitimate survey sites are perfectly safe and won’t steal or sell your personal information or do anything like that.

The problem is there are many scammy survey companies out there that try to be pretend to be a reputable site in order to do just that. Each site that joins the BBB is vetted and approved by the bureau and has pledged to follow the BBB’s policies on business practices.

That isn’t to say that survey companies that aren’t members of the BBB aren’t reputable or legitimate. Companies are under no obligation to join the BBB. It just means they didn’t want to join the BBB or pay its dues.

The following is a list of survey companies that are accredited by the BBB:
