CashCrate Review

CashCrate is one of the most popular of the GPT (Get Paid To) sites. CashCrate was established in 2006 and has over 2 million members around the world.

After hearing so much about the site, I decided to give CashCrate a try so I could give it an honest review and help others decide if they should sign up for it.

What people really want to know is: Can you make money with CrashCrate? Yes! You can make money with CashCrate.

Is CashCrate legit? Yes, CashCrate is a legit and safe company and they pay all of their members, as promised, for the work they do on the site. CashCrate is NOT a scam.

During my first month using the site, I did a very minimal amount of work and yet still made enough to reach the minimum payout. Even though the paycheck was for a small amount ($39), it really helped out during the summer lull when traffic to my numerous blogs declines and my online earnings drop. Like they say, every little bit helps.

One of the cool things about CashCrate is they give you $1 just for signing up. Then they give you another 50 cents to fill out the CashCrate Profile Survey. This is a win-win for you because you need to fill out that information anyway so CashCrate can find targeted surveys for you.

CashCrate has many different ways to earn money on the site. You can find them on the various tabs on the site’s dashboard, which read: Offers, Surveys, TopSurveys, Referrals, Videos & More, Bonus Surveys, Bonus Offers, Shopping.

Here I’ll go over the different ways to make money and give you some tips on how to succeed on CashCrate:

The offers tab is where I made the most money on CashCrate. Offers are the fastest way to earn money on CashCrate. Offers usually take less time than surveys and pay more. There are also a lot more cash offers than there are available surveys and you don’t need to qualify for them like you do for surveys.

Most offers pay about 60 cents to a few dollars. They usually take about 10 minutes or less, depending on the offer. After you complete the cash offer, all you have to do is go back to the offer tab and hit the submit button for the offer you just completed.

Most of the offers are free but some do require a credit card and ask you to make a purchase in order to get the credit. Although these are some of the highest paying offers and they do pay, it’s a lot of work to keep track of the trial offers and to remember when to cancel them.

Also, since most teens don’t have credit cards, it’s not really an option for the readers of this blog. For these reasons, I didn’t bother with the paid offers and just did the free offers. The paid offers are worth it though if you have a credit card and you’re willing to keep track of all the trial offers you sign up for.

My one complaint with offers is they can sometimes be confusing because it’s not always clear when you’ve officially completed them.

You usually only have to complete a simple task to get the credit, but once you’ve completed that task the site then presents new tasks to do and it’s hard to tell which is necessary and which is just extra work to get you to sign up for other things. This is true though of most cash offers on most survey sites so it’s not unique to CashCrate.

I always continue with the extra tasks until I reach the end but I click “no” on all of the extra offers they present. I’m not sure if you have to do all of these extra steps to actually get the credit, but I do it just in case and I always get credit for the offer. After you reach the end of the offer, just go back to the offer page and hit the submit button for that particular offer.

I love that CashCrate has that submit button so you know when the offer has officially been submitted. With other sites, you often have to keep doing the cash offer until you give up and hope that you completed enough of the offer to be considered complete.

Surveys are another aspect of CashCrate that I think is well worth it. They pay pretty well and don’t take a lot of time or effort. In order to get targeted surveys that you are more likely to qualify for, you should fill out your profile information before you start doing any surveys, otherwise you’ll waste a lot of time trying to take surveys you won’t qualify for.

You will usually get between 2 to 3 surveys emailed to you every day and you’ll find about 7 to 10 surveys available to you on the site each day.

Most of the surveys pay between 50 cents to $1.20 and take about 15 to 30 minutes. There are also a handful of surveys that pay between $2 to $3 as well as a few $4-$7 surveys.

To maximize your time when doing surveys, do the highest paying surveys first with the shortest length of time and then move onto the longer, lowing paying ones if you have time.

When it comes to surveys on CashCrate, the Top Surveys were the surveys I made the most money with. These Top Surveys are picked for you based on your profile information so you’ll have a way easier time qualifying for them.

You’ll find these top surveys in a box at the top of the Top Surveys page. The box will tell you how many surveys you qualify for and how much they are worth. Click on the box and it will take you directly to the surveys. If there aren’t any Top Surveys for you that day, the box will simply say “Welcome back [your name].”

Under the box, there will be a list of other surveys that you may also qualify for. You should focus mostly on the surveys in the box but you can give these surveys a try too if you have the time.

Referrals are where the real money is at on CashCrate. The more referrals you sign up, the more money you make in the long run. CashCrate has a multi-tiered referral program.

At the first level, you earn 20% of what your referrals make doing cash offers and 10% of what their referrals make doing cash offers. The percentage goes up at each level by about 5% until you reach the fifth and final level where you get 30% of what your referrals make doing cash offers and 20% of what their referrals make doing cash offers. At each level, you also get 5 cents for every daily survey, bonus survey or survey center survey your referrals complete.

In addition to that, at the second level you also have the option to receive a $1 bonus for every American, Canadian or UK referral you sign up that completes a cash offer, instead of the usual bonus of $3 when your referrals make their first $10. Once you reach the second level you also have the option to choose between Paypal or direct deposit for payout.

Watching videos is easy enough but for the length of time it takes to watch the video, the 2 cents you get paid to watch them or flip through the photo slideshows is not worth it at all. Skip this and focus on the more profitable parts of the site like cash offers, top surveys and referrals.

Bonus surveys are surveys from other survey sites that you can complete on CashCrate. My guess is that CashCrate is being paid to offer them on the site or is getting a commission for each survey you complete. They pay a little less than the other surveys on CashCrate, usually about 29 cents to 50 cents. Since they don’t pay as well, I only do these surveys if I’ve already finished all of the other available surveys for the day and I have some extra time.

Bonus offers is very similar to the regular cash offers except that they tend to pay more but often require that you purchase something or sign up for a free trial. One thing I like about the bonus offers is if you’re interested in signing up with other survey sites, you can find offers here that will pay you a few dollars just to sign up with these other survey sites.

Although you need a credit card to complete these offers, if you have one and plan on buying something anyway, you can make some money in the process by completing your purchase though an offer on the shopping tab. The shopping tab offers cash back for purchases on all kinds of sites, such as Walmart, iTunes, Petsmart, Best Buy and etc. I wouldn’t say it’s worth it to purchase something just to get the cash back, but if you’re going to make a purchase anyway, might as well do it through the CashCrate shopping tab.

Final Thoughts on CashCrate:
Like I said earlier, the way to make the most money on CashCrate is with cash offers, top surveys and referrals. Although you definitely won’t get rich with CashCrate, it is a great way to make a little extra money on the side with very little work. If you have a blog about making money online or any topic related to that, the referral program can make you some decent money.

If you don’t have a blog or website, you can take the money you earn on CashCrate and reinvest it into other ways to make money online such as: purchase a domain and hosting package for a new blog, pay for supplies and fees for an online store on Etsy or Ebay, buy and sell goods through Amazon’s FBA program, hire an editor or ghost writer to help you publish and sell ebooks on Amazon’s Kindle program and etc.

Like I said, CashCrate won’t make you rich, but it will make you enough money to help you expand your online earnings and open the door to more opportunities. Click here to sign up for CashCrate here.
