Swagbucks Review

Swagbucks is a GPT (Get Paid To) site. Swagbucks members earn points for doing things such as taking paid surveys, watching videos, surfing the web, completing cash offers and shopping online.

I decided to give Swagbucks a try so I could give it an honest review and help others decide if they should sign up for it.

What most people want to know is: Can You Make Money with Swagbucks? Yes! You can make money with Swagbucks. Click here to sign up for Swagbucks.

So is Swagbucks legit? Yes, Swagbucks is a legit company and they will pay you to complete surveys and do offers on the site.

I thought I would like Swagbucks a lot more after hearing so many great things about the site but I actually found Swagbucks to be merely so-so. On the plus side, it’s pretty easy to earn money on Swagbucks. I earned about 1,000 Swagbucks, which is worth about $10 in rewards, in the span of a few weeks by only using the site in my spare time each day. That being said though, I tried out a site similar to Swagbucks, called Points2Shop, the month before and found that I earned twice as much on that site in the same amount of time.

My other problem with Swagbucks is that you can’t earn cash money on the site, only Swagbucks, which can only be cashed in for e-gift cards. Gift cards are a great reward, Points2Shop gives gift cards as rewards too, but Points2Shop actually sends you a physical gift card that you can take to the store with you and/or use online. Swagbucks only sends you e-gift cards which you can only use online. In addition to that, it takes 10 days to process these e-gift cards, which is odd since they are completely digital.

Swagbucks ReviewDespite this, I still recommend Swagbucks. One reason is because you are paid for every survey you are disqualified from.

You earn one Swagbuck for each survey you are disqualified from, which isn’t a lot, but I haven’t come across any other survey sites yet that do that.

Swagbucks has sort of spoiled me for all other survey sites because of this. Now, every time I’m disqualified for a survey on another site and I don’t earn any money for it, I kind of feel cheated.

Another reason I recommend Swagbucks is because it it’s pretty easy to make a small amount of spending cash on the site. The surveys are easy to qualify for and most of the offers are easy to get credit for. It doesn’t take a lot of work to earn a little money on the site, which is what you want in a GPT or survey site.

Another thing I like about Swagbucks is that minimum payout is really low. You can earn e-gift cards in denominations of $1-$5, $10, $15, $25, $50 or $100 and up. The e-gift cards are for places like Walmart, Target, Starbucks, Ebay, iTunes, GameStop, Burger King, Facebook and etc. You can pretty much cash out at any time and walk away with a reward, unlike other sites where your money is tied up until you reach the minimum payout of $10, $20 or even $30. Also, although you can’t earn cash money on the site, you can earn a Paypal gift card, which is the next best thing.

Since some sections of the Swagbucks pay more than others, here’s some helpful tips to make the most money on Swagbucks:

I made the most money on Swagbucks by doing surveys and completing free offers. To find surveys to do, simply go to the sidebar on the left hand side and click “Answer.” This will lead you to the survey section. To find free offers to complete, go to the same sidebar and click on “Daily Offers.” Then click on “Free Offers” under the Swagbucks Offers section.

Here I’ll go over the different ways to make money on the site and give you some tips on how to succeed on Swagbucks:

This section is where you can earn cashback by shopping online. The cashback offers are pretty good but they only make sense if you already planned on buying something from these retailers. One good thing about this section (and this is probably the sole reason why Swagbucks only gives e-gift cards as rewards) is that you can use your e-gift cards in this section to buy stuff and earn even more Swagbucks. The only trick is, you have to earn an e-gift card first before you can use it in this section. Otherwise, you’ll have to use a credit or debit card, which most teens don’t have.

This section is where you can earn money for watching videos. The site claims you can earn up to 500 Swagbucks a day watching videos but I don’t believe that at all. The videos are way too long and pay too little. On average, most of the video offers require you to watch 3-5 videos for a total of 1 Swagbuck. In addition to that, each video is long, usually about 60 seconds or so. So you basically end up earning 1 Swagbuck for 3 to 5 minutes of your time. Totally not worth it. If you’re going to earn that little, you should do it in seconds, not minutes.

This section is where you can earn Swagbucks for completing Gold surveys. Depending on your profile information, there are usually a handful of surveys in this section each day. The pay ranges from 50 Swagbucks to 100 Swagbucks for each survey and the surveys generally take 10 minutes or so to complete. Like I mentioned before, the great thing about these surveys is that you are paid one Swagbuck for every survey you are disqualified from, which is awesome. You can also take a daily poll in this section, where you answer a simple poll question and earn one Swagbuck.

This section is where you can find a collection of different things to do, everything from answering Peanutlabs surveys to completing offers to watching videos. The sub sections within this section are: Featured Offers, Popular Offers from our Partner Trialpay, Offers from our Trusted Partners, Explore Web Content and Earn, Sign Up and Earn, Popular Offers and Most Recent Offers.

This section is where you can earn swagbucks just for surfing the web. Not every search will earn you money, and it’s not clear exactly which type of searches will, but if you make Swagbucks your search engine and then just do what you normally do when online, you’re bound to make a little money with no extra effort on your part.

Featured Offers
These are cash offers that pay you to do things like view an offer and print the coupon, signup for a service or sign up for a newsletter. They pay anywhere between 15 swagbucks to 3000 swagbucks, depending on what the offer asks you to do. I did a few random offers that I found in this section.

Popular Offers from our Partner Trialpay
These are mostly trial offers where you can earn money for signing up and trying out a product or service. These offers tend to pay between 200-1000 Swagbucks because they require a purchase. I didn’t try any of these but if they offer a type of product or service you were already thinking of getting, it would make sense to purchase it here so you can make some money on the deal.

Offers from our Trusted Partners
This section is not that much different from the Featured Offers section except it does have a Peanutslab which I used quite often. I mostly did the popular offers at the bottom of the Peanutslab page and a few surveys at the top of the page. The only downside to the Peanutslab surveys is you don’t get any Swagbucks for surveys you are disqualified from.

Explore Web Content and Earn
This section is where you can earn money for interacting with sales flyers, watching videos and etc. When I wasn’t doing surveys, I spent most of my time in this section doing the really easy offers like interacting with sales flyers or signing up for free samples or free health guides. Another offer I really liked in this section is the Content of the Day videos. These videos pay you one Swagbuck to watch one 60-second video. You can watch up to five of these Content of the Day videos each day.

Sign Up and Earn
This section is a combination of free sweepstakes offers, free samples and paid trial offers. I did a few of the free sweepstakes offers and free sample offers, which pay about 10-20 Swagbucks.

Popular Offers
This section is where you’ll find a collection of random popular offers from other sections. I don’t really know if I believe that some of these offers are popular because some of them don’t seem like good deals. These popular offers include everything from paid trials to free sweepstakes offers and free samples. The Content of the Day offer tends to pop up in this section a lot because Swagbucks members really like it.

Most Recent Offers
This section is where you’ll find all of the most recently added offers.

This section is where you can earn money by playing online video games. The only trick is you have to pay to play. The games state you earn about 12 Swagbucks when you pay $1 in addition to whatever you win while playing the game. I didn’t try these sections out so I don’t know if you can make any money playing them.

Refer a Friend
Another way to earn money on the site is through Swagbucks referral program. With this program you can invite friends and family to use the site by sending your referral link by email, posting it on social media or putting your link on your blog or website. You earn 10% of what your referrals make for life.

Final Thoughts on Swagbucks
Swagbucks is an easy enough site to earn money on, but you can earn more money and better rewards on similar sites like Points2Shop. I recommend Swagbucks if you have some extra time at the end of the day after doing more profitable GPT or survey sites or if you are primarily interested in shopping online with e-gift cards and earning more rewards in the process.
